Prince Ranariddh, wife injured in a car accident

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Prince Norodom Ranariddh and his wife Ouk Phalla were injured in a road accident on Saturday in Kampong Cham's Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province, police said.

The accident happening at around noon injured six people including the prince and his wife when a truck loaded with soil hit his BMW and others cars traveling alongside.

The motorcade was heading for Phnom Penh from Kampong Cham when the crash took place.

The police said Prince Ranariddh was slightly wounded while his wife was seriously injured and were rushed to a hospital in Phnom  Penh.
