CNRP's lawmakers ask to visit detained Boeung Kok land activists
PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Opposition six female lawmakers led by prominent lawmaker Mu Sochua are seeking a permission to visit 10 detained Boeung Kok land activists at Prey Sar prison on Thursday morning.The request was made through recent letter to prosecutor of Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
"We, Members of Parliament and Senators, would like to visit Mrs. Tep Vanny, Mrs. Phan Chhunreth, Mrs. Kong Chantha, Ms. Song Sreyleap, Mrs. Bo Chorvy, Mrs. Ngeth Chhun, Mrs. Norng Sreng, Mrs. Im Sreytouch, Mrs. Phuong Sreypheap and Mrs. Phuong Pich who are currently being detained in Rehabilitation Center 2 on Thursday at 9:00 a.m," said a letter sent to the prosecutor on Monday.
